I keep getting a screen message saying 'Important Updates Are Pending'. I am running Windows Defender and have gone thru the msert.ext twice. It seems that you're having an issue with Windows updates installation that's why you're always getting the message 'Important Updates. Important updates are pending.
Would you like to run Google Chrome with your favorite extensions and settings on any computer? Here we’ll look at how you can setup a portable version of Google Chrome on your flash drive so you can use it anywhere.
Getting Started
Download the Portable Google Chrome installer (link below). Once it’s downloaded, run the installer to get it setup on your flash drive. The installer is a 7zip-powered extractor. Click the “…” button to select your flash drive, and then click Extract.
It will now extract Portable Chrome to your flash drive. This may take a few minutes, but once it’s done you’ll be ready to immediately use your portable version of Chrome.
Once it’s finished, browse to your flash drive, open the new PortableGoogleChrome folder and run ChromeLoader.exe to start your Portable Chrome.
Switch Portable Chrome to Your Native Language
Portable Chrome is in German by default, so if you can’t read German you may be a bit confused when you first run it. To change it to English or your preferred language, click the wrench button on the right and click Optionen.
Select the Details tab, then scroll down and click the Schriftart- und Spracheinstellungen
ändern button under Web Content.
Select the second tab, click the menu at the bottom beside Google Chrome-Sprache and select your favorite language. Click the Ok button at the bottom to save your settings.
Chrome will remind you that the changes will not take effect until you restart your browser. Click Ok, and then close all of your Portable Chrome windows.
Next time you run it, you’ll be able to find your way around much easier since everything’s in your native language.
Using Portable Chrome
Portable Google Chrome works just like the standard version, except now you can run it from any computer. All of your favorite sites and web apps will work just as you expect. In fact, there’s no difference that you can see with just browsing.
The portable version of Chrome, like all portable applications, may run slower than normal Chrome depending on the speed of your flash drive. However, the convenience of having your own personalized Chrome browser on any computer more than makes up for it.
Here we have the same install of Portable Chrome running in an XP computer.
All of your browsing history is saved to the flash drive, which keeps your data private and makes it easy to access your favorite sites.
Cookies are saved on your flash drive, so you can stay logged into your accounts even when you’re accessing them in Chrome from another computer.
Install Extensions in Portable Chrome
Extensions help make Chrome more personalized for your needs, and can help get things done quicker. Portable Chrome takes this to the next level, since you can install extensions and then use them from any computer. Simply install extensions as you would in regular Chrome.
Many extensions offer easy ways to access web apps, and these still work great since Portable Chrome can keep you logged into your favorite sites.
Update Portable Chrome
Normal Google Chrome installed on your computer by default automatically installs updates, which makes it easy to stay up to date with the latest version. The portable version, however, cannot automatically install updates. To make sure you’re running the latest version from your flash drive, run the Updater.exe in the PortableGoogleChrome folder. Make sure all of the browser windows are closed before running the updater.
Now select the version of Chrome you want. You can choose to install the dev or beta version, or just select the Release Channel to make sure it will run without problems.
The Updater will now download the latest version of Chrome.
Once the download is finished, a Command Prompt window will open and automatically extract the updated files to your flash drive and update your Portable Chrome.
This may take a few moments, again depending on the speed of your flash drive. When it is finished, you’ll see a prompt letting you know that Chrome has been updated.
All of your settings and extensions should work as before, and you’ll have the latest version of Chrome all ready to use from your flash drive.
Conclusion Call of duty waw death card locations.
Google Chrome is one of our favorite web browsers, and being able to run it from any computer via a flash drive makes it even better. Portable Chrome worked great in our tests, and updating to the latest beta version was smooth as well. Now we can use our favorite browser on any Windows computer, even if it only has old IE6 installed!

A friend is continually being signed out of his Google accounts on his computer.
I have checked his cookies setting in Chrome, logged in to each of his accounts. when I close Chrome and re-open all his accounts have to be signed in again.
I have tested this on my computer in Chrome and his accounts stay signed in after I close and reopen Chrome.
I have reset his Chrome, cleared his cookies and other site data and his cached images and files. After logging back in to each account and setting each page to reopen they have to be signed into again after I close and reopen Chrome.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome. Signed into each account, set them to 'open a specific page or set of pages'. Closed Chrome and reopened and again have to re-sign into each of his Google accounts. I am at my wits end..Please help!!

Google Chrome users who run the recently released Chrome 69 on any desktop system may have noticed a behavior change that affects Chrome's synchronization functionality and Google accounts on the Web.
Chrome 69 was released recently with design changes, simplification of the display of URLs in the browser's address bar, e.g. omitting HTTP and HTTPS, and other changes that some users disliked.
Chrome users who sign out of a Google service such as Gmail or Google Search will be signed out of Google Chrome Sync automatically as well.
Google calls the feature 'Identity consistency between browser and cookie jar' and a Chrome representative on the official Google Chrome Help Forum confirmed that this is the intended behavior.
This is an intended behaviour if you are using the same Google Account for your Gmail and Chrome. If yes, you'll be signed out of Chrome when you signed out of Gmail account.
Some Chrome users reported that the issue impacts only some of their devices and not others which makes it even more frustrating.
Update: Starting in Chrome 70 (load chrome://settings/help to display the version), Chrome users may turn off the link between Chrome's sync functionality and Google sites in the settings.
- Load chrome://settings/ in the browser's address bar.
- Scroll all the way down on the page that opens and activate advanced.
- Under 'Privacy and security', toggle 'Allow Chrome sign-in'. A grey switch means the feature is off, a blue one that it is on.
- Restart Chrome.
End of update
Another user revealed that she shared the computer with her husband and that she and her husband were able to sign in and out of Gmail on the computer without any impact to the Google account used to sync Chrome data.
The change impacts users with multiple Chrome accounts and multi-user environments the most. Some users may prefer not to be signed in to Gmail, YouTube or other Google services all the time to avoid information overload or notifications at times.
Good news is that it is possible currently to disable the feature. Doing to breaks the link between the Google Account in Chrome that is used to sync data and Google accounts on Internet sites.
Note: Google may remove experimental flags like the one described below at any time. As long as it turns up when you run the steps below it is supported.
Fast and furious 7 free full online. Here is what you need to do:
- Load chrome://flags/#account-consistency in the browser's address bar. Google Chrome should display the flag Identity consistency between browser and cookie jar at the top.
- Set the flag to disabled with a click on the menu and selecting disabled from the context menu.
- Restart the Chrome browser.
Chrome breaks the link between the Google account in Chrome used to sync data and Google accounts that you sign in using the browser on Google sites.
The flag works on all desktop versions of Google Chrome as well as Chrome on ChromeOS and on Android.
Closing Words
Chrome users who dislike the change can restore the old functionality for now. It is likely that the flag will be removed eventually from Chrome; the only scenario where this won't happen is when enough users complain about the new functionality. Google might even restore the old behavior as a consequence when that happens.
